Bio:

Roger Nys is an adventurous retiree who is excited to share his knowledge of San Diego with visitors. A native New Englander, Roger is well-traveled and has lived in various cities across the country including Boston, Washington DC, Detroit, and San Francisco. He retired after a career in the federal government, in administrative posts at universities, and at a biomedical research institute. Roger gained his first experience as a tour leader in San Francisco where he led walking tours of Golden Gate Park with San Francisco City Guides. He is now a volunteer with Forever Balboa Park where he leads walking tours with a focus on history and architecture. He is also a Group Leader with Road Scholar, leading week-long San Diego and San Francisco city tours.
