The Balboa Park Hidden Gems Tour takes you on a 1.5 hour guided walking tour highlighting some of the most iconic locations in San Diego.
We'll talk about the history of the area and I'll show you where several important events have taken place over the past 100+ years.
Today Balboa Park is all about art & culture. It's the largest urban cultural park in the nation, home to several theaters, over 16 museums, numerous cultural organizations, and beautiful gardens.
A walking tour is a great to get the most out of your day in Balboa Park. 1.5 hours is just enough time to see all of the highlights, and hear some interesting stories about the park's history along the way. This gives you the rest of the day to enjoy the museums, gardens, restaurants, or any other attractions in San Diego you have on your list.
My knowledge of Balboa Park's history has grown over the past few years as a volunteer tour guide and info desk attendant with Forever Balboa Park, the busiest visitor center in San Diego. You can be sure you've found a guide who can accurately explain the history of Balboa Park to your group and make your visit a memorable one.
